Started with complimentary chips with a bean sauce, love when places are generous like that. Ordered the shrimp ceviche- my favorite item of my visit, so fresh and light- perfect balance and the tostada stayed crisp. Main item was the birra ramen, it was good, spicier than expected but not overwhelming. It seemed heavy compared to the ceviche- I ended up asking for extra limes and that gave some brightness. Everything was delicious. Service is a bit slow- but I'm pretty sure the staff is jack of all trades during their shifts so they have a lot to do behind the scenes. Friendly service for sure tho!

I went here for Valentine's Day and I wish I would've taken pictures. We got the tomahawk steak and literally 10/10. Everything was soooo delicious. We loved it. The service was amazing. We were treated so kindly. Ambience, is cool. More chill than anything, nothing fancy. But that food!? Worth going back a million times.

I visited this restaurant with some friends. I had never been to this restaurant before but I would love to to go back. My food was delicious. From the nachos and salsa to the wings. Everything we had was tasty. I would love to try something else on the menu. The service was good and the food came out quickly.

The food here was incredible! They're popular for their birria ramen, and birria tacos, which both totally lived up to the hype for me. Also, service was so attentive and friendly. The restaurant is super clean too. Another hidden gem in NJ added to my list.

Pro: great fusion cuisine! Mexican food with an Asian flare has certainly increased in popularity, and Axo shows why! My personal favorites were the Birria Egg Rolls. These little bites of bliss packed all the flavors expected out of well-seasoned beef, crunchy egg roll wrapping, melted cheese, and whatever side sauce tickles your fancy! Another standout dish was the order of Korean Birria Tacos. Season beef? Check. Onions cooked magnificently? Check. Absolute enjoyment? Triple check!!! Con: the seafood tacos were just okay. A little on the bland side for me... Bottom Line: See for yourself if Axo works for you; it sure worked well for me!

The place was packed out when we went, which is always a good sign. The staff got us sat and settled in, and our server was cool. He answered all the questions and gave us recommendations. The building itself was a vibe. Onto the food! We were given a plate of tortilla chips and salsa. Those chips were good and they were made in house it tasted like. The bao bun birria was our appetizers recommended by our server and they were a for sure hit, needs to be on the menu permanently. The birria tacos were super good and I'd definitely make the trip for the entire meal again. My favorite thing was the birria ramen, full of flavor from the beef to the shrimp and ramen. The broth had a kick of spice in it just like the consomé for the tacos. Need that again. The jarritos was flat but I can't blame the restaurant for that, that's a case of the bottling.

Phenomenal birria tacos. They load it with beef. Comes out piping hot just how it should. The consomé is rich and beefy. The birria ramen was good and extremely rich in flavor. We did not enjoy the mango wings. It was a sweet mango flavor on the outside but overall the wing itself was bland.

This place was on my list of "must try" restaurants for the year and I'm so happy I finally made it to Axo. I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and I will say, they did live up to the "hype." My friend and I ordered a few things. We started with a seafood egg roll and nachos. Both arrived promptly. I couldn't wait to try the seafood egg roll. I bite into the egg roll and I could taste seafood and cheese in every bite. The flavor of was absolutely amazing. I had to offer some to my friend bc it was just that damn good. Next were the nachos. We both enjoyed the flavor of the birria along with the cheese and other ingredients. The birria was hearty, beefy, juicy and tender. The chips were fresh and crunchy just the way we like them. By the time we were done with the nachos, we were almost full. For entrees, we tried the birria ramen and seafood tacos. Now, when I say my bowl was FULL, I tried to eat a lot of the soup, but it just didn't look like I even put a dent in it. The broth was absolutely fantastic. It was rich, savory, with a hint of heat. Again, the birria was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. I had more than enough soup for an extra serving that I enjoyed the next day. My friend didn't talk much as he ate his seafood tacos. Needless to say, Axo is an outstanding establishment that I look forward to frequenting again in the near future.
